Maharashtra State has waived a complete of Rs 754.58 crore in stamp responsibility beneath the Abhay Yojana (Amnesty Scheme) Section 1, spanning 4 months from December 1, 2023 to March 2024.
Throughout this part, a full waiver on each stamp responsibility and penalties was granted for quantities starting from Re 1 to Rs 1 lakh. For quantities exceeding Rs 1 lakh, a 50 per cent rebate on stamp responsibility charges and a whole waiver on penalties had been offered.
This waiver benefitted a complete of two,31,305 instances, as reported by the state income division.
The state collected Rs. 277.90 crore beneath Section 1 of the Abhay Yojana, which was retrieved as a part of the deferred stamp responsibility and penalty funds from 18,778 instances out of 60,257 purposes. As per information from the tate Division of Registration and Stamps, 43,659 instances had been disposed of, whereas 16,598 instances had been pending. Stamp responsibility charges and penalties totaling Rs 81 crore had been collected from stamp responsibility places of work in Mumbai, Andheri, Kurla, and Borivali, whereas Rs 86 crore was collected from Thane, Thane Rural, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, and the remaining from different components of the state.
The federal government of Maharashtra has prolonged the interval of the scheme’s second part till June 30, 2024 from the sooner deadline of March 31, 2024. Nevertheless, the second part has not but acquired many purposes and responses, presumably resulting from decreased advantages as in comparison with Section 1, stated an official from the state income workplace.
In Section 2, quantities as much as Rs 1 lakh will obtain an 80 per cent discount in stamp responsibility charges and penalties, whereas quantities exceeding Rs 1 lakh will get a 40 per cent discount in stamp responsibility charges and a 70 per cent discount in penalties.
