A. Ganeshamoorthy of the MDMK, the sitting Lok Sabha MP from Erode constituency in Tamil Nadu, was rushed to a hospital after he allegedly consumed pesticide.
Ganesamoorthy, who was elected on a DMK ticket within the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, was admitted to a non-public hospital by his members of the family after he developed uneasiness and started to puke within the morning.
He reportedly advised his members of the family that he had consumed pesticide. After check-ups, he was admitted to the ICU and has been placed on the ventilator, police mentioned.
He was later shifted to a non-public hospital in Coimbatore at round 2.30 pm with two medical doctors and his members of the family accompanying him within the ambulance.
MDMK chief Durai Vaiko visited the hospital and mentioned Ganeshamoorthy was in important situation and was beneath ECMO therapy.
Different political leaders like S. Muthusamy, state Minister for City Growth and Housing and Excise and Prohibition, Dr C. Saraswathy BJP MLA of Modakurichi, Okay.V Ramalingam of the AIADMK rushed to the hospital and enquired about Ganesamoorthy’s well being.
