Seven candidates filed nominations for the Lok Sabha elections from Internal Manipur constituency on the final day of submitting nominations on Wednesday.
The candidates embrace Republican Occasion of India-Athawale’s Maheshwar Thounaojam, BJP’s Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, Congress’s Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Rashtriya Janhit Sangharsh Occasion’s Moirangthem Totomshana Nongshaba, Common Household Occasion’s Ngasepam Nilakanta Singh and Haorungbam Sarat Singh, who filed nomination as an unbiased candidate.
Addressing the press, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, Thokchom Kiran, mentioned that in whole, seven candidates, together with one unbiased candidate, filed their nomination papers.
Nomination papers have been filed peacefully and the scrutiny will likely be performed on Thursday at 11 am, Kiran mentioned. He appealed to all folks to solid their votes.
The Manipur Folks’s Occasion (MPP) candidate for the Internal Manipur seat, RK Somendro Singh filed his nomination paper on Tuesday.
The Lok Sabha elections in Manipur will be conducted in two phases.
