Gujarat is the primary state within the nation to work within the course of water conservation with public participation, mentioned Union minister of Jal Shakti CR Paatil whereas launching the ‘Jal Sanchay Ane Jan Bhagidari’ occasion at Tadkeshwar village in Surat district, on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, Paatil mentioned, “That is the official launch of the ‘Catch the rain’ occasion in Surat district. Gujarat is the primary state to preserve water with public participation and Tadkeshwar is the primary village to take such an initiative.”
“At the least 65% water is present in south Gujarat, highest within the state. Many villages face water points throughout April-Could. Our ministry has recognized such villages and thru rainwater conservation, we’ll resolve the problem,” he added.
