The Allahabad Excessive court docket has dismissed the petition filed by Bollywood director Remo D’Souza to quash a dishonest case towards him.
The petition heard by a bench of Justice Rajeev Mishra acknowledged that since D’Souza was unable to problem the chargesheet filed towards him, the court docket will grant him no reduction.
“Within the absence of any problem to the cost sheet, no reduction as prayed for via current software could be granted. As such, the current software fails and is liable to be dismissed,” the order learn.
An FIR was registered in December 2016 on the criticism of a Ghaziabad movie-financier Satyendra Tyagi, alleging that D’Souza requested him to speculate Rs 5 crore in his upcoming movie and when he demanded the cash again as promised, he was threatened by gangster Prasad Pujari.
