The Mumbai airport acquired a hoax bomb risk name on Friday morning, warning of a bomb in Terminal 1, following which the police registered a case towards the unknown caller. The decision was later declared as “non-specific” by a bomb risk evaluation committee.
The case was lodged following a grievance by Gitanjali Nerurkar, 37, a Mumbai Worldwide Airport Restricted (MIAL) senior govt officer on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Worldwide Airport Terminal -1.
In response to the police, on Friday morning, Nerurkar acquired a telephone name from an unknown quantity on her responsibility telephone. “The caller with out figuring out himself stated ‘Terminal 1 Bomb’. When Nerurkar requested the caller from the place he was calling, the caller stated ‘Navpada’ in an English accent. When Nerurkar requested in English ‘The place’, the particular person responded saying ‘Terminal 1, Terminal 1, Gate no. 1… Better of luck’ and hung up the decision,” the FIR states.
