Famend filmmaker and conservationist Mike Pandey has been awarded the 2024 Jackson Wild Legacy Award, one of the prestigious world honours in wildlife and environmental filmmaking.
The award, introduced on Thursday at a ceremony in Maryland, USA, celebrates Pandey’s 45 years of impactful storytelling that has raised consciousness about essential wildlife and environmental points, based on a press release.
“ I’m humbled. Receiving the Jackson Wild Legacy Award is a profound honour, not only for me, however for the unvoiced beings we share the planet with — each voice and each species these movies have sought to guard. Storytelling is a strong instrument, and I hope to proceed elevating consciousness and provoking motion to safeguard our planet’s fragile ecosystems. On the finish of the day, all of us — each life kind on Earth — want the atmosphere and biodiversity to outlive,” Pandey mentioned.
