Former Haryana Deputy CM and JJP chief Dushyant Chautala on Sunday introduced he would file his nomination from the Uchana Kalan Meeting seat on September 5.
“On September 5, a havan will likely be carried out on the Uchana Kalan get together workplace adopted by submitting of nomination. A rally may also be organised on October 2 on the Uchana Kalan grain market with JJP nationwide president Ajay Singh Chautala, Azad Samaj Get together (Kanshi Ram) chief and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, and a number of other senior leaders in attendance,” Dushyant mentioned at a rally within the constituency.
He additionally slammed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, calling him “kati patang (free kite)” over the uncertainty about his seat. “Nobody is aware of if he (Saini) will land in Karnal (his present seat), Ladwa or Naraingarh (from the place he gained in 2014). I’m shocked the BJP, which has been in energy in Haryana and on the Centre for the previous 10 years, lacks confidence in its leaders,” he mentioned.
Uchana Kalan has been hotly contested by the 2 huge political households of the state – the Chautala clan of Devi Lal and Birender Singh’s household. Whereas Birender gained the seat 5 instances (2005, 1996, 1991, 1982 and 1977), his spouse Prem Lata gained it in 2014. Dushyant’s grandfather Om Prakash Chautala gained the seat in 2009 whereas he bagged it 5 years in the past. Falling in Jind district and below Hisar Lok Sabha seat, Uchana Kalan is seen as a stronghold of Birender Singh, the grandson of legendary farmer chief Sir Chhotu Ram.
Dushyant is more likely to lock horns with Birender’s son, Brijendra, a former MP from Hisar, who give up the BJP and joined the Congress forward of the Lok Sabha polls.
