The India Meteorological Division (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and Thane, stating the probability of sizzling and humid circumstances, till Thursday. Whereas scientists indicated that heatwave-like circumstances are more likely to elude town –- with temperatures slated to hover close to 35 diploma Celsius — residents are in for an uncomfortable week owing to hovering humidity ranges.
After recording subdued warmth, town witnessed a spike within the temperatures on Saturday with the utmost temperatures touching 35.4 levels, as per IMD’s Santacruz observatory. In line with meteorologists, the metropolis will proceed to witness temperatures on this vary, for the upcoming days.
Chatting with The Indian Express, Sunil Kamble, director of IMD Mumbai mentioned {that a} yellow alert has been sounded for town in addition to its neighbouring districts of Thane and Raigad till Thursday, owing to the inflow of moisture-laden westerlies.
