The Yemeni Houthi group mentioned on Sunday its forces had attacked two ships within the Pink Sea and the Indian Ocean. The primary ship, Transworld Navigator, had been focused within the Pink Sea utilizing “an uncrewed floor boat” which led to a direct hit in opposition to the ship, Houthi army spokesman Yahya Saree mentioned.
The second vessel, Stolt Sequoia, was attacked within the Indian Ocean with a lot of cruise missiles, he mentioned.
It was not clear when the assaults passed off. He mentioned the ships belonged to corporations that “violated the ban on coming into the ports of occupied Palestine.”
Yemen’s militant Houthi group has been launching drone and missile strikes in transport lanes since November, saying that it acts in solidarity with Palestinians in Israel’s conflict in Gaza.
In dozens of assaults, the Houthis have sunk two vessels, seized one other and killed a minimum of three seafarers.
