The primary plane LA5033 of the Tejas Mk1A collection efficiently soared within the sky after taking off from the Hindustan Aeronautics Restricted (HAL) facility in Bengaluru on Thursday, the general public sector aerospace and defence firm mentioned.
In line with HAL, the Tejas Mk1A plane did a profitable sortie with a flying time of 18 minutes. The aircraft was piloted by Chief Check Pilot Group Captain Ok Ok Venugopal (Retired).

HAL had signed a Switch of Know-how (ToT) settlement with CSIR-Nationwide Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) on November 8, 2023.
The settlement was aimed toward manufacturing BMI Engine Bay Door for the collection manufacturing of Mild Fight Plane (LCA) — Tejas Mk1A — an indigenous 4.5 era, all-weather and multi-role fighter plane for the Indian Air Pressure.
