A disagreement erupted between Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) MLA KT Rama Rao and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over allegations of telephone tapping within the state.
Throughout a celebration assembly, KTR recommended that if any tapping occurred, it may need been restricted to some troublemakers or criminals. He dismissed Congress’ claims as “exaggerated drama” geared toward diverting consideration from unfulfilled guarantees by the Congress.
“Perhaps the police have tapped a few troublemakers or thieves’ telephones. It’s their job. They (Congress) are exaggerating it as a global rip-off,” stated KTR.
Responding to KTR’s remarks, Revanth Reddy accused him of “shamelessly” admitting to telephone tapping exercise and known as for accountability, alleging that the BRS authorities had tapped telephones and filed instances towards those that voted towards them.
“The earlier govenment has threatened, filed police instances and tapped telephones of those that voted towards them,” Revanth Reddy stated including, “You (KTR) might be despatched to Cherlapalli jail.”
In the meantime, BJP’s Hyderabad Candidate Madhavi Latha raised suspicions of AIMIM’s involvement within the telephone tapping, citing their pleasant alliance with BRS. She demanded a probe into AIMIM’s position within the matter.
