Two manufacturing items of adulterated spices allegedly working within the metropolis’s Karawal Nagar space have been busted and three individuals have been arrested for it, police stated on Sunday.
Fifteen tonnes of adulterated Indian spices and uncooked materials have been recovered from their possession, they stated.
Dilip Singh (46), Sarfaraj (32), and Khurseed Malik (42) have been recognized because the accused.
Police stated that they acquired a tip-off that some producers or shopkeepers in northeast Delhi are concerned in manufacturing and promoting adulterated Indian spices below the title of manufacturers.
“We shaped a crew to analyze the matter and on Could 1, our groups acquired extra details about the items which are operating in Karawal Nagar space,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Rakesh Pawariya stated.
The officer additional stated that groups performed a raid and Dilip and Khursheed have been apprehended. Dilip informed police that he’s the proprietor of the manufacturing unit and Khursheed knowledgeable that he was the provider of the adulterated manufactured spices.
“Additional interrogation revealed that one other processing unit can also be operating at Kali Khata Street, Karawal Nagar, Delhi and one other raid was additionally performed from the place Sarfaraz was apprehended making adulterated spices,” the DCP stated.
Additional investigation into the matter will start after the FIR is registered, police stated.
