Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Tuesday mentioned leaders of the Aam Aadmi Social gathering in Goa have been afraid after the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal within the Delhi excise coverage case.
Addressing a public assembly in South Goa’s Velim, Sawant mentioned, “They [AAP leaders] are afraid. Their chief minister [Kejriwal] is in jail. Don’t assume they aren’t afraid. They’re afraid and they’re following me to see the place I’m travelling.”
Taking potshots at AAP leaders, Sawant added, “Their leaders are in jail for a liquor rip-off. They made some huge cash on this rip-off and a few of it was despatched to Goa [during state elections in 2022], which is why they received the lottery right here [won two seats]. They’re afraid…and the Congress is completed. Individuals is not going to hassle in regards to the RGP [Revolutionary Goans Party]…so the one selection is the BJP.”
Reacting to Sawant’s feedback, Venzy Viegas, AAP MLA from Benaulim, mentioned, “No AAP chief is scared and nobody is monitoring him [Sawant]. The folks of the nation are monitoring BJP’s cash path.”
Earlier final week, the ED had questioned 4 leaders of the Bhandari neighborhood in Goa, together with AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar and AAP chief Ramrao Wagh in reference to the cash laundering case tied to the Delhi excise coverage case.
The ED has claimed that bribes obtained by the AAP from the ‘South Group’.
