BJP on Saturday introduced its eighth record of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Notably, the ruling social gathering has fielded former diplomat Taranjit Sandhu from Amritsar seat and dropped actor and sitting MP Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur. The social gathering has introduced candidates for six of the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.
Apparently, Hans Raj Hans, the incumbent BJP MP from Delhi’s North-West constituency, has been relocated to Punjab and can now vie for the Faridkot Parliamentary seat.
Former Congress stalwarts Preneet Kaur and Ravneet Singh Bittu have emerged as distinguished figures within the BJP’s lineup, with Kaur slated to contest from her conventional stronghold of Patiala and Bittu from Ludhiana.
Preneet Kaur is the spouse of Captain Amarinder Singh, Punjab’s former Chief Minister. Kaur just lately made a high-profile entry into the BJP fold amidst the presence of high social gathering leaders from the state.
