Kannada actor Harshika Poonacha and her husband had been allegedly attacked early in April by a bunch of individuals on the car parking zone of a Bengaluru restaurant for talking in Kannada, the police mentioned.
Town police have registered a case on Saturday, after Poonacha and her actor husband Bhuvan Ponnanna met Bengaluru Metropolis Police Commissioner B Dayanada and filed a criticism.
The assault on April 2 went viral two weeks later when Poonacha, who recorded the video of the incident on telephone, shared it on X on April 19.
