A lady in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district was allegedly thrashed by her husband, tied to a motorbike and dragged round a village, police stated on Tuesday.
A video that purportedly reveals the girl tied to the bike and being dragged surfaced on-line on Monday, after which the police took motion and arrested the person.
The person, recognized as Premaram Meghwal (28), was in an inebriated state and had a combat together with his spouse after he bought offended with the way in which she talked to his mom, Nagaur police stated. He then tied her to his bike and dragged her across the village. The incident was recorded by a bystander, who later despatched it to Meghwal’s sister-in-law.
The incident is claimed to have taken place round a month in the past in Naharsinghpura village below Panchaudi police station space.
Nagaur Superintendent of Police Narayan Togas advised The Indian Express that police have taken suo-moto motion towards the person and arrested him.
“After we noticed the video, we arrested the person although the girl didn’t file any formal grievance. She had gone to Jaisalmer to stick with her sister-in-law after the incident. She is about to return to Nagaur quickly. We’ll get to know in regards to the precise motive for the incident and some other abuse that she might need confronted by the hands of the accused after speaking to her,” stated Togas.
In line with police, Meghwal is unemployed and lives together with his mom within the village. He had married the girl round six months in the past, and since then, had fixed fights together with her. His neighbours stated Meghwal was an alcoholic and recurrently thrashed his spouse.
