The Punjab and Haryana Excessive Courtroom has denied bail to a 57-year-old man booked in a case of homicide, and underneath Terrorist and Disruptive Actions (Prevention) Act (TADA), 33 years in the past, and requested him to give up earlier than the classes court docket on August 7.

Pamma, arraigned as an accused, couldn’t be arrested, was declared a proclaimed offender on August 17, 1992, by a court docket of Anandpur Sahib and as such remaining report was filed, and proof recorded in absentia was filed on September 30, 1992, within the case.
Pamma, nonetheless, had voluntarily come up earlier than the excessive court docket in 2022, in search of bail, with prayers to give up earlier than the trial court docket and additional aid for interim bail until the choice of the bail petition. Justice Chitkara, on perusing the details of the FIR registered towards accused, held that “an intensive investigation has been carried out, pointing in the direction of the petitioner’s function in firing on the police celebration. Any additional discussions would definitely prejudice the petitioner’s case”.
