Two prime jail officers and 7 others have been suspended Monday a day after a purported picture and a video of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa went viral, by which he’s seen smoking contained in the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bengaluru.
House Minister G Parameshwara instructed reporters Monday that V Seshumurthy, Chief Superintendent of Jail, Mallikarjun Swamy, Superintendent of Jail, jailers Sharanabasava Aminghada and Prabhu S Khandelwal, assistant jailers L S Thippeswamy, and Srikanth Talwar, head warders Venkappa Kodti and Sampath Kumar Kadapatti, and warder Basappa Keli have been suspended.
A complete of 17 folks, together with Darshan, are at the moment in judicial custody in reference to the homicide of 33-year-old Renukaswamy.
