A minimum of seven newborns have been killed after a large fireplace broke out at a kids’s hospital in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar early on Sunday.
Informing in regards to the incident, DCP (Shahdara) Surendra Chowdhary mentioned that 12 infants have been rescued, out of which, one was already lifeless and 6 extra have been declared lifeless later.
The officers of the Delhi Fireplace Providers (DFS) mentioned that the blaze broke out on the kids’s hospital in Shahdara on Saturday evening. DFS chief Atul Garg mentioned that 5 infants are present process therapy at one other hospital.
The our bodies have been shifted to the GTB Hospital for postmortem. The police mentioned that motion will being initiated towards the proprietor of the hospital, who has been recognized as Naveen Kichi.

Reacting to the incident, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal mentioned: “This incident of fireplace in a kids’s hospital is heartbreaking. All of us stand with those that misplaced their harmless kids on this accident. Authorities and administration officers are busy offering therapy to the injured on the spot. The causes of the incident are being investigated and whoever is chargeable for this negligence won’t be spared.”
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj mentioned that the culprits wouldn’t be spared. “Strictest punishment will likely be ensured for these discovered negligent or concerned in any improper doing,” he wrote on social media platform X.
